PVMA Pet Food and Supplies Drive
Portland Veterinary Medical Association's 2010 Pet Food & Supplies Drive Resurrected in 2007, the PVMA Pet Food and Supplies Drive has become a successful and very rewarding program that we would like to continue for years to come. Although the timing is a bit different this year, the need is year around. We hope to gather a significant amount of food and supplies for animals and families in need, in our community. We have chosen several local non-profit organizations to be the recipients of the collected donations, many of them in dire need after food banks and resources have been stretched to accommodate large scale rescue efforts and a growing number of families in need of assistance. Recipients of the donations will be: the Portland Animal Welfare Team, The Feral Cat Coalition, The Cat Adoption Team and several other area shelters and animal welfare agencies. Items needed: Unopened dry, canned or pouch food– Any good quality brand Towels/blankets (no dog or cat beds please!) Over the counter products: dental/oral care, shampoo and supplements, Flea control New or gently used collars, leashes, harnesses New dog and cat toys New or gently used warm pet clothing– sweatshirts, raingear, etc. General pet care supplies Medications, expired or unexpired, sealed or unsealed We are not able to take pet carriers, crates or dog houses/igloos If you have any questions, please contact the PVMA office at 503-228-7387 Donations may be dropped of at one of these participating veterinary hospitals: Cat Care Professionals Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital Fremont Veterinary Clinic Guide Dogs for the Blind Hart Road Animal Hospital Pacific Avenue Veterinary Clinic Powell Blvd Veterinary Clinic Sorrento Animal Hospital Two Rivers Veterinary Clinic
