PVMA Veterinary Team Affiliate Program (previously Paraprofessional Support Program)
In 2011, the PVMA introduced a Paraprofessional Support Program as a
direct result of feedback collected from a membership survey. This program was developed to increase involvement and
better support our invaluable team members. The Paraprofessional Support
Program will offer technicians and veterinary support staff, CE
opportunities, a digital version of the PVMA newsletter, and inclusion in PVMA emails and mailings at a substantially reduced rate from
the veterinarian member rate.
PVMA Technician and Assistant Shortage and Retention Taskforce
In the Spring of 2016, the PVMA formed a taskforce to address the shortage of veterinary technicians and assistants in our community.This taskforce is made up of PVMA member veterinarians, Oregon Veterinary Technician an Assistant Association board members, and technicians from a variety of backgrounds. This taskforce will be facilitating a number of events and programs in 2017 and being a part of the VTA program, will provide participants with the most current information!

No cost to attend any PVMA facilitated CE lectures and meetings unless
otherwise specified- 35+ CE credits available annually (otherwise
non-program participant cost will be $10/lecture). Alternating 3rd
Thursday Technician CE lectures partnered with DoveLewis will remain
free to all attendees.
Cost: For 2017 calendar year; these may be subject to change in subsequent years.
