The PVMA has been exploring the opportunity to offer an association healthcare plan, known as a multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA), to the Portland veterinary community. Last fall, the Portland Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) began exploring a partnership with the Oregon Veterinary Technician and Assistant Association (OVTAA) to determine what was needed for the OVTAA to be sustainable and for the PVMA to be able to offer more support to our community members. It is important to note that there is a vast difference between critique (disagreeing or criticizing what someone did) and abuse that includes threats, harassment, and intent to inflict emotional or physical harm.
