Passing the gavel to our new President!
On the evening of May 11th at McMenamins Kennedy School, the Portland Veterinary Medical Association conducted the last membership meeting & continuing education lecture of the Spring. The evening was sponsored by Storz and Dr. Timothy McCarthy presented on the Application of Laparoscopy in Small Animal General Practice.
The meeting also served as the annual ceremony where board transitions take place. This year, we celebrated the passing of the gavel from the previous President Dr. Amanda Veatch to the new President, Dr. Matt Dowling.
Dr. Veatch has guided the non-profit organization for the past two years and we are grateful for her calm and thoughtful leadership during a particularly challenging time. The PVMA is looking forward to a continuation of growth and evolution under Dr. Dowling’s guidance.
