PVMA Welcomes New President and 2026 Board of Director!

At the in-person General Membership Meeting on Thursday, May 14, the Portland Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) celebrated the passing of the gavel from outgoing President Dr. Kazuki Ueki to incoming President Dr. Alexandra Moore.

Over the past year, Dr. Ueki has provided thoughtful, dedicated leadership to the organization, and we are deeply grateful for his service and contributions. As PVMA continues to grow and evolve, we look forward to the vision and guidance Dr. Moore will bring in her new role as President.

The PVMA would also like to congratulate Dr. Lisann Evans on her election to the PVMA Board of Directors.

Dr. Lisann Evans moved to Portland immediately after graduating from Oregon State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and has been practicing in the area ever since. After initially working as a full-time associate, she transitioned to relief work to better manage her schedule around growing children and aging parents. Her experience in relief work includes shelter medicine at Multnomah County Animal Services, mobile practice, and general practice at numerous clinics throughout the Portland metropolitan area.

Throughout her career, the PVMA has been a constant source of support, guidance, education, and community. She now feels it is the right time to give back to the association and support its mission. In her free time, Lisann enjoys gardening, hiking, backpacking, and spending time with her family and two cats.
