Instructors

  • Chantal Faraudo CVT, CVPP

    Chantal Faraudo is a Certified Veterinary Technician with a specialty in pain management as a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner. She worked in general practice for nine years at Laurelhurst Veterinary Hospital and then worked in emergency/critical care as the Technician Manager at DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital for two years and worked as an ICU CVT at VCA NWVS. Chantal has a background in human medicine as a Registered Nurse in Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum, Medical/Surgical nursing as well as community education in Pediatric First Aid and Childbirth classes. She also played trumpet professionally in Los Angeles and taught High School Band in previous careers. She has a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Music in Trumpet performance, and an Associate of Science in Nursing and Veterinary Technology. Chantal’s passions and interest in veterinary medicine are in Pain Management, Anesthesia, Surgery and Emergency/Critical Care medicine. She has received many hours of additional training and advanced skills in Pain Management, Dentistry and Anesthesia and is a life long learner. She has had a special interest in Pain Management since she was a Registered Nurse working in the human medicine field of post surgical/medical care and then in Labor and Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum caring for the mother baby couplet. In the veterinary field she has had a passion and interest in anesthesia and surgery and out of that has grown her interest in pain management.


    Chantal also enjoys working with animals and strengthening the human animal bond by building long and lasing relationships with clients.




About Recover CPR

RECOVER CPR is the only official veterinary CPR certification recognized by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS), and is a non-profit program.


Workshop Information

RECOVER certification signifies one’s knowledge and skills are up to date with current evidence-based guidelines. RECOVER offers certification for veterinary professionals in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) through a 2-step process involving online and in-person training. Certification is maintained by completing the online recertification course every 2 years.


Upon completion of the training, you will receive:

  • 6 hours of CE for online portion, and 6 hours of CE for the hands-on portion
  • Completion of both the Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) online modules will grant a total of eight and a half hours of CE and successful completion of the hands-on training course will supply participants with certification as RECOVER Initiative CPR Rescuers in BLS and ALS and 6 additional hours of CE.

  • RECOVER CPR Certificate
  • RECOVER CPR BLS and ALS Rescuer certificates are issued for display in veterinary practices and offices to inform pet owners of competent help.

  • Listing in the CPR Certification Directory
  • Certification status can be confirmed by veterinary practice owners, employers, pet owners, and the public through the directory search on the web.

  • Seal of Achievement
  • Your achievement and status can be shown through RECOVER badges to be placed on uniforms, communication materials, business cards, or practice websites.


Online Certification Module

*The online certification module will need to be completed by each registrant prior to the in-person workshop. Proof of online course completion will be required. Fee is to be paid separately from workshop registration, through the Recover Initiative.


It will take 8-10hrs to complete the online course so we encourage you to start as soon as possible! Instructor Chantal was able to arrange a 20% discount for the online course. The code will be provided in your registration confirmation email.
