About Recover CPR

Workshop Information

RECOVER certification signifies one’s knowledge and skills are up to date with current evidence-based guidelines. RECOVER offers certification for veterinary professionals in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) through a 2-step process involving online and in-person training. Certification is maintained by completing the online recertification course every 2 years.

Upon completion of the training, you will receive:

  • 8.5 hours of CE for online portion, and 6 hours of  CE for the hands-on portion
    • Completion of both the Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) online modules will grant a total of eight and a half hours of  CE and successful completion of the hands-on training course will supply participants with certification as RECOVER Initiative CPR Rescuers in BLS and ALS and 6 additional hours of CE.
  • RECOVER CPR Certificate
    • RECOVER CPR BLS and ALS Rescuer certificates are issued for display in veterinary practices and offices to inform pet owners of competent help.
  • Listing in the CPR Certification Directory
    • Certification status can be confirmed by veterinary practice owners, employers, pet owners, and the public through the directory search on the web.
  • Seal of Achievement
    • Your achievement and status can be shown through RECOVER badges to be placed on uniforms, communication materials, business cards, or practice websites.
